Vision & Mission

Founded on 1 August 2023, Switzerland's National Day, IHT Swiss Watch Atelier is a boutique watchmaking studio in Singapore dedicated to preserving the tradition of Swiss mechanical watchmaking. At the heart of IHT is Michael Dubs, a certified Swiss Master Watchmaker whose dream is to share the beauty, precision and craftsmanship of traditional horology with a new generation of enthusiasts, collectors and learners.
The IHT story started with a moment of curiosity. As a teenager, Michael pried open a watch using his father's handyman vise. The tiny components that sprung out captivated his attention and that early fascination became a lifelong pursuit of horological excellence.
IHT is the culmination of that journey.
Vision
To preserve and pass on the craft of fine mechanical watchmaking. In a digital age, we reconnect people with the beauty, precision and meaning of horology, fostering a culture of craftsmanship, curiosity and lasting value.
At IHT, we envision a world where the art of fine mechanical watchmaking is not only preserved but deeply appreciated and actively practiced by future generations. As modern lifestyles become increasingly digital, we see growing value in reconnecting people with the tangible beauty, precision and patience that define traditional horology. Our aspiration is to establish IHT as a leading centre for horological learning and excellence in Singapore and the region, where the craft is not only admired but continually passed down, innovated upon and woven into cultural fabric.
We aim to foster a deeper appreciation for watchmaking—beyond luxury—by nurturing craftsmanship, curiosity, and meaningful connections that stand the test of time.
Mission
To uphold the excellence of Swiss watchmaking by making the craft accessible, creating opportunities through education and nurturing a community grounded in craftsmanship and lifelong learning.
IHT's mission is to maintain the highest standards of technical excellence while making the world of fine mechanical watchmaking accessible, meaningful and enduring. We provide services in the maintenance and restoration of high-end and vintage timepieces, offer personalized watchmaking experiences for individuals and groups, and deliver industry-recognized training led by FHH-accredited Swiss Master Watchmaker Michael Dubs.
Through meticulously crafted masterclasses, retail training and consultancy for collectors and aspiring watchmakers, we empower individuals to engage with horology on a deeper level, enhancing their understanding of its mechanics, artistry and heritage.
In addition to our commercial endeavours, we are committed to fostering long-term social impact with a key aspect of our mission to give back through education and creating opportunities for the underserved.
By harmonizing tradition with contemporary relevance, we strive to cultivate a community that values craftsmanship, integrity and lifelong learning.
