Our Vision & Mission

The heart and purpose behind our work

Our Founding Story

Swiss mechanical watchmaking is more than a craft — it is a living tradition that connects generations through precision, patience and passion.

IHT was founded on the belief that this tradition deserves to be preserved, practiced and passed on — not locked away in museums, but alive in the hands of those who love it.

Our work is a response to a simple question: how do we ensure the art of fine watchmaking continues to thrive in a world that moves faster every day?

Looking Beyond Today

We envision a world where Swiss mechanical watchmaking is understood, valued and practiced — not as a relic of the past, but as a vibrant craft that inspires creativity, craftsmanship and curiosity in every generation.

By bridging traditional techniques with modern education and services, we aim to build a lasting community of watchmakers, collectors and enthusiasts who share our reverence for the art of timekeeping.

Our Calling

Our mission is to preserve, practice and pass on the craft of fine Swiss mechanical watchmaking through authentic education, meaningful experiences and specialist watchmaking services.

We are committed to training the next generation of watchmakers, sharing hands-on knowledge with enthusiasts at every level, and serving the watch community with honesty, precision and respect — always grounded in the highest standards of Swiss craftsmanship.

How It All Began

Founded in 2020 — 6 years and counting

Michael's relationship with watches began at an early age when he accompanied his father to have a Tag Heuer repaired at a local shop in Hong Kong. Watching the watchmaker work at his bench — calm, focused, completely absorbed — Michael knew in that moment what he wanted to do with his life.
