One of the rare places in SG (or in south east asia) that you can learn directly from a Swiss master watchmaker with decades of experience. Guided hands-on into the heart of the ticking mechanism. I attended an introduction to Swiss watchmaking yesterday, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The class covered the inner movements of a watch, and we got hands-on experience assembling and disassembling the parts ourselves. The level of finesse required is honestly profound — it gave me a whole new appreciation for what goes into a single timepiece. Michael, our Swiss master atelier, made the entire session both fun and genuinely fascinating. His expertise was obvious, but what stood out most was how approachable and engaging he made something so technical. We even left with our own certificates and the actual movement we assembled in class, which was such a nice touch. This experience has definitely piqued my interest in their other classes — I'll be back for more!

So many wonderful things to say about the 3-hr Intoduction to Watchmaking class that we attended. With one of us being mechanically inclined and the other being somewhat clumsy, Michael was incredibly agile and made sure that both of us felt confident in our abilities and had a fantastic time! His sense of humor, special attention to the lineage of timekeeping technology, precision equipment, thorough explanations, and overall joy for watches and watchmaking made the experience a must-do for any and all travelers to Singapore. If you have even a remote interest in how things work or what makes a watch tick, this is an opportunity to take a home a unique memento to capture an equality unique experience. I booked a watchmaking session as a Valentine’s Day present for my husband (who absolutely loves watches), and it turned out to be one of the best gifts ever. The entire experience was incredibly interesting and hands-on. We got to understand the intricate mechanics behind a watch and appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into every tiny component. It was both educational and engaging — not intimidating at all, even for beginners. Most importantly, it was fun. The instructors, Michael and Phyllis were patient and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet focused. If, like me, you are a watch collector and always wondered how mechanical watches work or even how to take better care of them eg can I overwind a watch? Or wanting to appreciate the beauty and functionality of movements in watches, then you have to attend these. Michael has a wealth of experience straight from Swiss high end watch brands- and coupled with his patience, very gentle manner of instruction and a high desire to share his knowledge with participants, it made the workshop all the more enjoyable. My wife and I left elated with a watch we had assembled. How many can say that? Dont waste time, join the club soon!

I recently attended the watchmaking workshop and it was an absolutely incredible experience! From start to finish, the session was packed with valuable information, real-life examples, and hands-on learning. Michael and Phyllis were amazing—their expertise and passion for watch making were evident as they patiently walked us through each step. They made the complex art of watchmaking feel accessible and engaging. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making the workshop not just educational but also really enjoyable. I also loved that we got to take home a little souvenir—a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more special. If you have any interest in watches or craftsmanship, I highly recommend this workshop. It’s insightful, well-structured, and truly memorable. 10/10!

This was a very informative experience, we learned a lot about of Watches and the ins and outs of the making. I highly recommend it as a date night with someone you love and you will enjoy it together. The couple Michael and Phylis were very kind and super helpful. It was well worth the price. 2 hours and you will be well informed on watches.

As soon as we entered the IHT studio, my wife and I could feel the passion and enthusiasm of Michael and Phyllis. Surrounded by all the tools of the master craftsman, Michael shared with us his journey and gave us a glimpse of the old mixed with the new. Looking over the shoulder of a master craftsman, it didn’t take long to appreciate the skill, precision and patience that is required to assemble, repair and maintain precision mechanical time pieces. A very informative and relaxing morning, thank you Michael and Phyllis.

Really enjoyed the IHT intro to watchmaking class. What an amazing experience to be taught by Michael Dubs, a Swiss master watchmaker and former Head of Technical Complications, Audermars Piguet. Especially so in such an intimate yet friendly setting, a hidden gem within the Ubi industrial area. Michael is incredibly knowledgeable and has the gift of sharing his passion and teach in a way which allows non-experts like myself to understand easily. It is also heartening to see the wonderful IHT team husband & wife (Phyllis) share their vision to share the joy of watchmaking to a wider community and their hearts for people around them. Lastly, it is definitely a great joy to be able to understand and appreciate my watches at a deeper level. Looking forward to the advanced IHT watchmaking classes! Thank you for the great experience!
