Experience Watchmaking
in Singapore

Led by Swiss Master Watchmaker Michael Dubs, an accredited trainer with the FHH Academy, IHT's watchmaking Masterclasses offer an authentic introduction to Swiss watchmaking.

Held at IHT's studio in Singapore, each Masterclass is designed to make fine watchmaking accessible without reducing its depth. Participants may explore mechanical watch movements, complications, finishing techniques, movement decoration or hands-on assembly, depending on the programme selected.

IHT's Masterclasses are educational experiences, not professional watchmaking qualifications. They are designed to build foundational knowledge, practical exposure and a deeper appreciation of horology, while upholding the integrity, heritage and technique of Swiss watchmaking.

As soon as we entered the IHT studio, my wife and I could feel the passion and enthusiasm of Michael and Phyllis. Surrounded by all the tools of the master craftsman, Michael shared with us his journey and gave us a glimpse of the old mixed with the new. Looking over the shoulder of a master craftsman, it didn’t take long to appreciate the skill, precision and patience that is required to assemble, repair and maintain precision mechanical time pieces. A very informative and relaxing morning, thank you Michael and Phyllis.

The best workshop I’ve been to. With zero knowledge and subpar interest, I walked out with some understanding of watch and parts also how each interacts with another. Turned out I’m looking forward to more watch making sessions. Great time with Michael also Phyllis who shared fun stories and experience. Highly recommend anyone to attend it.

Attended the Intro to Watchmaking class with my friends. Not a watch connoisseur myself, but it was a really interesting introduction to the complexities of watchmaking and why watchmaking is both an amalgamation of science and art. They offer many more advanced courses as well. Definitely a must-try if you are into the intricacies of watchmaking.

Really enjoyed the IHT intro to watchmaking class. What an amazing experience to be taught by Michael Dubs, a Swiss master watchmaker and former Head of Technical Complications, Audermars Piguet. Especially so in such an intimate yet friendly setting, a hidden gem within the Ubi industrial area. Michael is incredibly knowledgeable and has the gift of sharing his passion and teach in a way which allows non-experts like myself to understand easily. It is also heartening to see the wonderful IHT team husband & wife (Phyllis) share their vision to share the joy of watchmaking to a wider community and their hearts for people around them. Lastly, it is definitely a great joy to be able to understand and appreciate my watches at a deeper level. Looking forward to the advanced IHT watchmaking classes! Thank you for the great experience!
