5 stars are simply not enough. What an amazing experience! I travelled from Indonesia to participate in the 1 Day watch making course, and my expectations were blown away. The knowledge, kindness and friendliness of Michael, Phyllis and Jimmy made the experience truly memorable. Their course teaches you some of the history, tricks of the trade and techniques which are used in every day fine horology. Some very simple, some very technical. All VERY interesting. The whole time I spent with the IHT team, I was glued to the information they were giving as it was truly fascinating. I now have a whole new appreciation for watchmaking. Whether you are a collector, an apprentice wanting to brush up some skills or learn some new techniques, or anyone even remotely interested in watches, then I couldn’t recommend this course any more. You will Challenge yourself in a mechanical sense and broaden your appreciation and understand of watchmaking, walk away with a new watch that you have made yourself. I look forward to my next visit to IHT. Thank you all!

Such an interesting, engaging session on understanding the history of timekeeping, different types of watches and eventually getting some hands on experience on disassembling and putting a movement back together again! For those interested in horology, look no further! Michael, Phyllis and Jimmy are absolute gems!! Their warmth, hospitality and sheer depth of knowledge/ passion for watches make this session an incredible experience! We were pleasantly surprised we were able to bring back the movement we had worked on during the course! Thanks so much, Michael, Phyllis and Jimmy! Will find a way to come back for your other courses!! 🤩

Over 8 hours we learnt a bit of theory, decorated parts and assembled our timepieces (losing a lot of screws in the process)! Michael was super patient and a fantastic educator. Looking forward to the next episode!

It was such a wonderful and educational experience. The workshop I attended called “Introduction to Watchmaking Masterclass” The entire workshop was very well paced and the environment and atmosphere makes it very conducive to learn and experience all that the IHT team has to offer, they; Michael (the instructor/teacher), Phyllis (Michael wife), Michael’s Apprentice, were the main reason why the entire experience was as good as it was. The entire IHT team were super nice and friendly and ever ready to assist and answer any questions we had. They even went above and beyond, preparing a surprise for one of the attendees, as he was celebrating his birthday the next day. During the class, there was never any point I felt lost, i was guided the entire way and were given tips and assistance any time it was needed. Overall it was super fun and educational experience!! There were absolutely no complaints. 🤩 I highly recommend this workshop for anyone who has any interest in watches and how they work. It’s suited for anyone and everyone. Thank you IHT for the wonderful experience!!
